UN Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education

This UNESCO goal aims for free, equitable and quality education for all children and youth by 2030. Its scope ranges from early childhood development all the way to tertiary education and vocational training. It also aims to provide children with the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainability, equality and global citizenship.

More than half of children that have not enrolled in school live in sub-Saharan Africa.

An estimated 50% of out-of-school children of primary school age live in conflict-affected areas.
