What happens when you bring job-ready digital talent and employers into one room for 90 minutes? Instant interviews. Real coaching. Real opportunities.
On October 27, 2025, Prepr’s Career Connect initiative gave our latest F.U.N.™ graduates the chance to showcase their skills directly to hiring managers, no waiting, no cold applications, just real conversations that move careers forward.
Emily Milne, our HR & Operations Manager, who usually sees our programs from behind the scenes, watched it unfold live: “Being at Career Connect 2025 in person was such an energizing experience. I got to witness the magic of having our program participants engage with employers and build their social capital and confidence in real time.”
Graduates from our latest F.U.N.™ cohort walked in ready to prove what they’d learned. Ninety minutes later, they’d completed multiple interviews in one sitting, built professional connections with hiring managers, and and mastered the art of the ‘quick pitch,’ translating their skills into tight, confident introductions that resonated even in a rapid-paced format.

Two Career Development Zones, One Goal: Job-Ready Talent
We split the event into two zones:
Career Carousel: Speed interviews with employer partners. Candidates interviewed with multiple employers, getting 10-15 minutes to pitch themselves, answer questions, and show off their Prepr portfolios.
Coaches Corner: Between interviews, candidates hit Coaches Corner with many interesting queries, and Prepr coaches helped them refine their pitch, better communicate their skills and capabilities, while continuing the discussion on their lifelong skills and capacity development journey.
“Usually it takes me at least a couple of weeks to get an interview,” said Safwan Hossain, one of our F.U.N.™ graduates. “To be able to have the opportunity to do 5 interviews all in one go, I cannot ask for anything more than that.”
When Preparation Pays Off
Here’s what made the difference: graduates from our F.U.N.™ program showed up ready. Each candidate had a polished Prepr portfolio showcasing real projects they’d built during their accelerated training. They’d practiced pitching themselves and understood how to connect their skills to real digital and business challenges employers face.
“The F.U.N.™ program helped me train and learn different frameworks, work with a team, polish up my resume, and understand the fundamentals of LinkedIn and branding yourself,” Safwan explained.
Thomas, our Technical Solutions Manager, shared a memorable take on the event: “It was really fantastic to get face-to-face with members of our most recent F.U.N.™ cohort. Their talent and energy really shone through.”
Employer Partners Saw the Value Immediately
Career Connect wasn’t just an initiative for candidates; it was also a valuable resource for employers. Employers got access to pre-vetted, job-ready candidates who’d already proven they were skilled learners, problem-solvers, and collaborators.
This matters because upskilling programs strengthen entire talent ecosystems. Employers find capable candidates without sifting through hundreds of cold applications, and graduates get real opportunities instead of sending resumes into the void.
Soft Skills That Set Job-Ready Candidates Apart
In a powerful reflection, Diala Alkronz, another F.U.N.™ graduate, shared, “I really learned the value that I could provide to an employer, the more I practiced and the more I interviewed. It was a good exercise in pitching yourself.”
Sure, technical skills got people in the door. But it was how candidates carried themselves that really made an impact.
Employers noticed who could explain complex concepts clearly. Who made eye contact. Who came prepared with smart questions. Who could talk about their projects naturally instead of reciting memorized scripts. Those were the soft skills that elevated job-ready candidates, and the ones that made a lasting impression.
Real Outcomes: Interviews, Confidence, and Industry Connections
Many candidates walked away with follow-up interviews scheduled, but most importantly, with new connections in fields they were interested in.
Here’s what the experience empowered them with:
- Confidence: Sitting across from real employers and holding your own in that conversation changes how you see yourself professionally.
- Practice: Many of our graduates had never done a professional interview before Career Connect. Now they have!
- Direct feedback: Employers and coaches shared honest insights about navigating digital careers: the kind of advice you can't Google.
- Professional Networks: The connections made at Career Connect will serve candidates long after this event.
What’s Next: Strengthening the Digital Talent Pipeline in 2026
Career Connect 2025 proved that when you give prepared candidates structured access to real employers, genuine connections happen.
For F.U.N.™ graduates, this was a launching point. For employers, it was proof there’s strong digital talent available when you know where to look. And for us at Prepr, it reinforced why F.U.N.™ continues to exist 5 years after its launch as a flagship program at Prepr: to bridge the gap between real world, skills-based training and work-integrated experiences with real preparation, real practice, and real opportunity.
