VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Graphic Designer

Prepr is looking for a volunteer graphic designer to assist our team of educators and marketers.

Some of the tasks that you may contribute to include:

Creating graphics for the web such as infographics, quotes and images to be used online (e.g. banners)
Creating brochures or other printable material
(optional) Helping to edit and splice existing video content
You will be a key team member supporting the Prepr team in enhancing the education program and facilitating marketing/communication initiatives.

Ideally, you will have some experience with both print and web design. On the web design side you will be supported by a team of UX designers.

You will have a strong working knowledge with Photoshop & Illustrator. Experience working with InDesign, Final Cut Pro or Sony Vegas Pro is considered an asset.

Mobile Developer

Prepr is seeking a Mobile Developer to join the volunteer development team! We are looking for someone who has experience in iOS and/or Android development and is ready for a new challenge.

Some of the tasks that you may contribute to include:

Developing and enhancing our mobile learning management platform.
Building high quality, scalable applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript frameworks in an Android/iOS system.
Bug tracking and version control.
Some Ruby on Rails and Python/Django work would be an asset.

WordPress/LAMP Developer

Prepr is seeking a WordPress & LAMP stack developer to join the team! We are looking for someone who has experience configuring and customizing themes and plugins.

Ideally, you have experience working with WordPress and are comfortable with HTML5, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. We hire for attitude, potential, and ability. We encourage all eligible candidates to apply.

Some of the tasks that you may contribute to include:

Work closely with our UX Design team to create a beautiful, engaging web experience for Prepr Learners
Help build high quality, scalable applications using HTML5, CSS3, PHP and JavaScript
Customize existing themes and plugins to extend, enhance or modify functionality
Extend WordPress functionality to improve the community aspects of the website, including groups and forums
Help modify and maintain existing code to reduce security vulnerabilities and keep the site running smoothly

UX Designer

Prepr is seeking a User Experience Designer to join the volunteer development team! We are looking for someone who has experience in persona-driven design and testing, and is comfortable with wire-framing and design.

Some of the tasks that you may contribute to include:

Ideation and design of complex web, mobile and cloud solutions.
Defining user experiences, including user stories, personas and process flows and interactions.
Planning, executing and presenting wireframes/mockups to the team.

Your work is crucial to helping us deliver free skills-based education that is effective and engaging.

Instructional Designer

Prepr is seeking a Instructional Designer to join the volunteer team! We are looking for someone who has experience with remote learning solutions.

Some of the tasks that you may contribute to include:

Deploying learning materials that fosters leadership skills and community engagement.
Working with Subject Matter Experts to develop and deliver interactive
learning materials on PreprLabs, our learn-by-doing platform.
Creating engaging multi-media resources including video, images and infographics.

Digital Marketer

Prepr is seeking a Digital Marketer to join our volunteer team! We are looking for someone who has experience with social media marketing and digital advertising.

Some of the tasks that you may contribute to include:

Developing and executing digital marketing plans to attract new learners and partners for our free education programs
Identifying target personas, building landing pages, managing AdWords campaigns and related analytics.
Conducting A/B testing and optimizing campaigns.

Blog Contributor

Prepr is seeking a Blog Contributor to join our volunteer team! We are looking for someone who has experience with creative writing for content marketing purposes.

Some of the tasks that you may contribute to include:

Curating the best content on the web related to business and startups
Writing blogs based on given topics related to Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Project Management
Working with the marketing team to execute the content publishing strategy
Working with our social media team to ensure cross publishing of content
Exploring different ways of presenting content, for example using infogrpahics
Ensure alignment between Prepr’s brand and the content developed
