Our Expert Panelists

Satish Stefansson

Project Engineer, Fuse Advisors

Satish Stefansson works in corporate and business development within the mining industry. He studied mining engineering at the University of British Columbia and has spent the early years of his career working at a variety of mining operations around Canada in technical engineering roles. Beyond his on-site experiences, he has worked in multiple project management roles within the EPCM space, as well as asset acquisitions and corporate evaluation. Currently, he is a project director with Western Copper and Gold with the goal of developing their Casino mining project in the Yukon.

Kunal Phalpher

Advisor at Cyclic Materials & Mentor at Creative Destruction Lab

Kunal Phalpher is a seasoned cleantech executive who has worked across sectors such as renewable energy, batteries and battery materials. Currently, Kunal is an Advisor to Cyclic Materials, a company creating a circular supply chain of rare earth elements from electric motors and their magnets. Previously Kunal held the position of President of Li-Metal, an innovator in anode materials for next-generation batteries, where he led several corporate functions in an effort to scale the company into its commercial phase. Prior to that Kunal was the Chief Commercial Officer, followed by the Chief Strategy Officer, of Li-Cycle, a leading lithium-ion battery recycling company closing the loop on critical battery materials.

Danny is the Head of Strategy & Operations at NEO Battery Materials Ltd. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a BCOM in Finance, Economics and International Business.
